While DRF Sportsbook is one of the newcomers to the mobile sports betting scene, the brand itself has a reputable name in the gaming space.
DRF stands for Daily Racing Form and made its mark in the horseracing field in 1894 with its statistical service publication for horse-racing bettors.
Today, Daily Racing Form made a splash in the gaming industry under the mantra DRF Bets, with one of the top mobile Racebooks on the market.
So although DRF Sportsbook may be new, you are betting with one of the most tenured and prominent brands in the gaming realm to date.
Would We Place Sports Bets At DRF Sportsbook?
Yes. I would place a bet with DRF Sportsbook.
While DRF may not have all of the features and betting options that I am used to with the bigger operators like BetMGM or FanDuel, it is hard to ignore the DRF sign-up bonus.
It’s practically free money.
What’s more, if you are like me, then you may be limited at some sportsbooks for winning too much, betting too much, or arbing (Arbitrage Betting). Thus, you can never have too many sportsbooks in your arsenal to choose from.
I am also a serial line shopper. While I may not be able to place a same-game parlay at DRF Sportsbook, I can shop their lines against other books.
And if DRF has the best lines and the Best Odds, I will place my bet with them because I don’t want to leave any money on the table.
Since I live in New Jersey, I have an abundance of sportsbooks to choose from. However, the same can not be said for many states, including Iowa.
So if you are an Iowa resident, I would strongly suggest that you try out DRF Sportsbook.
At worst, join, use the sign-up bonus, and only use it when they have the very best bet compared to your other books.
I would also suggest signing up for DRF Sportsbook if you like to bet on horse racing too, since it is tied to DRF Bets.
I like being able to bet on sports and horses at the same time. You can do that with the DRF brand.
Betting Odds Quality
DRF Sportsbook provides aggressive odds with some markets. Just like anything else, all sportsbooks are different and have their pros and cons.
This is especially true when comparing odds.
I find that DRF’s odds are similar to Barstool and Sugarhouse, which could be a good thing when wagering on full games and halves but not so much when it comes to player props.
You will find that you are limited with player prop betting. DRF has player prop markets, but you don’t have variance. What you see is what you get.
However, when it comes to full game markets, you can alter lines and odds, which can work in your favor.
An In-Depth Look At DRF Sportsbook
While the DRF name is new to the sports betting industry, the brand itself has been around for a long time.
DRF is an abbreviation of the name Daily Racing Form, which was founded in 1894 in Chicago, Illinois as a newspaper and statistical guide for horse racing bettors.
DRF isn’t even new to the betting space despite just getting its feet wet with sports. DRF Bets has been one of the top Racebooks in the industry for quite some time now.
Through its partnership with Affinity Interactive, DRF launched its first mobile sportsbook in Iowa.
And although the DRF Sportsbook is only currently operational in one state, there are plans in place to expand to at least six additional stats in the coming months.
The buck does not stop there for the DRF brand. On March 3, 2022, DRF launched its first retail sportsbook via the Lakeside Hotel and Casino in Iowa.
While online sportsbooks and online casinos go hand in hand, the next natural bond is the mobile racebook, which is what DRF uniquely brings to the table.
You will find ample online sportsbooks and casinos, but there aren’t as many racebooks paired with sportsbooks as you would think.
So if you are a fan of sports betting and wagering on horses, then DRF Sportsbook is the place to play.
DRF Sportsbook Bonus Details
While DRF Sportsbook does not offer any bonuses for existing clients, its new user sign-up bonus is one of the best in the industry, which is a good thing for both the operator and the user.
Sign-up bonuses are a terrific way for the platform to entice new users to join their sportsbooks.
Since there is so much competition, sportsbooks must be over-aggressive with their offers, which benefits the user since they are the ones cashing in on the bonus funds.
Today, DRF Sportsbook is offering its users a risk-free bet of up to 300!
Here are the details:
Risk-Free Bet Up To $300 For New Users
- Sign up for a new account with DRF Sportsbook
- You must use one of the signup links at BestOdds.com to activate the offer.
- You must deposit at least $10.
- 1x wagering requirement to withdraw bonus funds.
- 1 per customer
- You will have 7 days to satisfy the wagering requirement and use the risk-free bet.
- DRF reserves the right to change this promotion at any time.
As I stated above, there are no promos for existing users at the moment at DRF.
However, be sure to check the promo page daily as they can elect to feature a bonus at any time. You can also take advantage of DRF’s Refer-a-Friend program here as well.
For more information on DRF’s bonuses and promos, head to the DRF Sportsbook promotions page.
Registration Process At DRF Sportsbook
Registering at DRF Sportsbook is fairly easy. It won’t take you very long at all to create an account, make a deposit and place your first wager.
- To sign up, you must provide some personal details like your name, address, phone number, and email address.
- You will also have to enter your date of birth and the last four digits of your social security number so they can verify your identity.
- Lastly, you will also need to create a username and password to complete registration.
Once everything is complete, DRF Sportsbook will verify your identity and your location. It will also ask you to check off the terms and conditions box as well as the privacy policy box.
Remember, if DRF can not verify your identity digitally, they will ask you to upload documents like a driver’s license or passport.
Once everything in the registration process is completed, you will be able to make your first deposit and place your first sportsbook at DRF.
DRF App Experience
DRF Sportsbook does have an app that can be found in the iOS store as well as the Android store for comparable devices. However, before you use the app, you must download it.
Here is how to do it. You can use this explanation for both iOS and Android devices.
- Open up your app store
- In the search bar, type in “DRF Sportsbook” and click the download button
- The DRF Sportsbook app will begin downloading
- Once the app is finished downloading, sign into it
- Remember, if you have yet to sign up for DRF Sportsbook, you can do so on the app.
Now that you have signed up to DRF Sportsbook and logged into the app, you will see that the app is very similar to the web page layout.
While DRF could use an update aesthetically, I am a fan of the black and red color scheme. You will especially enjoy it if you like dark mode.
Beginning at the top of the app, you will find your sports and promotions bar, just like on the website.
If you click on sports, it will take to to the sportsbook landing page.
If you click on promotions, it will redirect you to the promo page so you can check if there are any new offers.
As you begin to look around the homepage of the sportsbook, you will see a sports menu bar, which will highlight today’s top sports markets that are currently in season.
After all, if it is the NFL offseason, why would a sportsbook feature the NFL football market front and center?
If you want NFL futures, you will need to click on the “All Spots” menu and search for it that way.
While scrolling downward, you will see other options that include live in-play betting, markets starting soon, and top sports available.
DRF puts options like that in front of you because those are the plays happening right now.
They want to make it easier to find the bet you are looking for, especially with live betting since the lines move so rapidly.
The primary body of the app will feature the top games to bet on.
You won’t need to navigate anywhere. If NBA games are beginning in 2 hours, their mainlines (Moneyline, point spread, over/under) are right there.
And if you click on one of the games, it will take you to all of the betting markets available for it which will include the option to bet on player props.
Finally, at the bottom of the app, you will find another primary menu bar. No matter what page you navigate to, this bar will remain at the bottom.
Here, you will find buttons that will take you to your bet slip and your account.
I thoroughly enjoy the simplicity of the DRF Sportsbook app. There is not as much clutter as you will find with others. And when using the app, it is speedy, even at the busy times of the betting day.
GeoComply
When you see the term GeoComplay, the term Geolocation should also come to mind. They are the same thing.
GeoComply is a geographical location service that mobile sports betting sites use to ensure that you are within legal limits to bet on their platform. Otherwise, the operator could face legal issues.
The GeoComplay service is set to protect not only the sportsbook but the user too. All sportsbooks and sports bettors alike are required to have this service to legally place a bet.
If you are wagering from an iOS or an Android device, all you have to do is go into your setting to turn this on. All phones and tablets have this now.
If you are using a desktop, you may have to install this program. Usually, the sportsbook you are trying to bet with will trigger you to install it upon logging in.
DRF Sportsbook Site Experience
The theme of the DRF Sportsbook web page is simple and aesthetically pleasing.
While they could use some upgrades to compete with the top sportsbooks, the web page has everything you need.
When using the web page, I find that the interface is easy to navigate, the color scheme is easy on the eyes, and it is overall speedy without lag.
You also won’t find many pop-up advertisements at all, which is a plus.
Let’s cut to the chase, though: we arent at DRF Sportsbook for colors. We are here to bet on sports.
If you look past the aesthetics, you will find it fairly easy to access all of the betting markets you are looking for.
And while your bet slip is hidden, you can open up that window by clicking on the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
DRF puts everything you need readily available to make your next bet, your next deposit, or check for the latest promos right on their main web page once you are signed in.
You’ll even find all of the sports markets on the left-hand side of the page so you don’t even have to click on a menu to navigate there.
Overall, I have enjoyed my experience with the DRF Sportsbook web page. If you also like simplicity, then you will agree as well.
DRF Sports Betting
DRF Sportsbook offers a wide variety of sports and markets to wager on as well as extensive betting types and options.
Despite being one of the smaller operators compared to the BetMGMs of the world, you can still bet on just about anything at DRF.
Here are the biggest betting markets at DRF Sportsbook:
- Football (NFL)
- Baseball (MLB)
- Hockey (NHL)
- Basketball (NBA)
Aside from the aforementioned major markets, you will also find smaller niche sports too. While the smaller markets may not have as many betting options as player props, you will find that there is enough there to satisfy your needs as a sports bettor.
- Golf
- Soccer
- Racing
- NASCAR
- Boxing
- UFC/ MMA
- Tennis
Notable Features
All sportsbooks provide different features for their users.
While the premise of a mobile sportsbook is the same, they all may not offer the same components, which creates a good variance in the space.
Here are some of the best features you will find at DRF Sportsbook:
- Attached to a racebook
- Player Props
- Live Betting
- Teasers
- Player Specials
- Live Stats
- Parlays
- Teasers
- Round Robins
Understanding Betting Options
Every sportsbook has limits. Much to the chagrin of avid sports bettors.
Whether they are individual player limits or overall wagering limits for a given market, you will find them at every operator.
At DRF Sportsbook, wagering limits will vary by market and player. In fact, you won’t even be able to find out any information on wagering limits in the terms and conditions.
The sportsbooks are not obliged to tell us that information. So they don’t until we are about to place a bet, and it is kicked back and limited.
While you do have the ability to set your own limits, you are at the discretion of the operator in most cases.
Deposit & Withdrawals
If you want to bet on something, you need to have funds readily available in your sports betting account to do so.
While most online sportsbooks have terrific banking options, DRF could use a makeover. DRF lacks some of the top banking options on the market, like PayPal.
Below, I will list the deposit options at DRF Sportsbook and then give you a quick rundown on how to make a deposit.
Deposit Options
All deposit methods have a $10 minimum, and all deposits are immediate.
- VISA/Mastercard
- DRF Play+ Card
- PayNearMe
- Online Banking Transfer
How to make a deposit:
- Log into your DRF Sportsbook account
- Click the deposit button and enter the amount you’d like to add to your account
- Choose your banking method
- Once the transaction is processed – usually within seconds – your funds will appear in your account
Next, I will list all of the withdrawal options at DRF Sportsbook, followed by a quick rundown of the withdrawal process.
Withdrawal Options
If you make a deposit via DRF Play+ Card, your withdrawal will automatically be processed that way as well. The same for online banking transfers.
If you make a deposit via credit or debit card or the PayNearMe option, your withdrawal will come via bank transfer once you input your banking info in a safe and secure way.
- Online Banking Transfer
- These can take up to 5 business days
- DRF Play+ Card
- These are normally processed instantly
How to make a withdrawal:
- Log into your DRF SPortsbook account
- Click on the withdrawal option and choose your banking option if you are given a choice
- Follow the instructions to complete the withdrawal process
DRF State Restrictions
While sports betting is legal in the United States, all states are regulated differently. In fact, you cannot legally place a sports bet in many states to date.
However, as the popularity of sports betting grows and states see the potential revenue in it, we are seeing more and more states legalize the practice and jump on board the proverbial money train.
In most legal states, you cannot bet on a college team in that state.
For example, in New Jersey, I cannot bet on Rutgers, Monmouth, or St. Peters, just to name a few.
As of this writing, DRF Sportsbook is only legal in Iowa.
However, there are reportedly at least six additional states that are expected to feature the sportsbooks in the coming months.
Loyalty Programs
No. DRF Sportsbook does not have a rewards program. They do provide free pro sports betting data for regular players. However, the DRF Racebook (DRFBets) does.
At DRF Bets, they offer their users a tiered loyalty and rewards program. However, as I mentioned, DRF Sportsbook customers are not included in the program.
As the sportsbook grows, look for DRF to implement a loyalty program. There is one already in place. I don’t see why they would not add it.
Customer Service
DRF Sportsbook has some of the best customer support options I have seen in the sports betting space.
Please note that DRF Sportsbook’s customer support page can be found at DRF Bets, their Racebook page (bets.drf.com).
If you use the customer support tab that you will find at the bottom right-hand side of the page, it will redirect you to the Racebook, where you will find customer service.
Below, I will list the various avenues of support at DRF:
- FAQ section and help page
- Submit a Request (you will get an email response)
- Live Chat
- Phone: 1-877-408-1999
- Direct Email: cservice2@drf.com
DRF Safety And Security
Customers of DRF Sportsbook should never have to worry about the safety and security of their identity or funds.
In addition to some of the most-advanced firewall programs to protect your personal details from hostile threats and data breaches, DRF also uses safe and secure banking options to protect your money as well.
You also have the option to immediately receive an email any time there is a withdrawal request from your account just in case a withdrawal request is performed by an unauthorized user.
What’s more, at the time of signing up, DRF suggests that you review its terms, conditions, and privacy policy to ensure that you understand and are comfortable with the ways they collect and use your personal information.
