The NFC North battle between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions will kickoff the Thanksgiving Day action.
Both teams are coming off interesting wins in Week 11.
The Packers defeated the Los Angeles Chargers with a 24-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love to Romeo Doubs with 2:33 remaining in the fourth quarter, winning 23-20.
The Lions took down the Chicago Bears by erasing a 12-point deficit in the final three minutes of the game, winning 31-26.
For this Thanksgiving Day rivalry matchup, I’ll be placing a Same Game Parlay on FanDuel.
Jared Goff – OVER 255.5 Passing Yards AND OVER 1.5 TD Passes
The Packers defense has allowed just an average of 208.2 passing yards per game, but that number may be slightly deflated by the quarterbacks they have played.
Even in Green Bay’s last three games, they have faced the soft-tossing Kenny Pickett of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams’ backup quarterback Brett Rypien.
Both Pickett and Rypien threw for a combined 256 passing yards against the Packers’ defense in Weeks 9 and 10. That’ll keep the Packers’ passing defense numbers nice and tidy.
The Lions defeated Green Bay back in Week 4, 34-20, but after taking a commanding 27-3 lead in the first half, there was no urgency to keep throwing the football.
Detroit’s positive game script kept quarterback Jared Goff’s numbers in check.
Goff is averaging 274.3 passing yards per game, and I expect him to produce a number closer to his typical output in this one.

The Packers have only allowed two quarterbacks to record two touchdown passes against them in a game; Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8 and Justin Herbert of the Chargers in Week 11.
I think this is also a product of a soft quarterback schedule.
Goff can expose this Green Bay defense in Week 12.
Pick: Goff – OVER 255.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Pick: Goff – OVER 1.5 TD Passes (-138)
David Montgomery – OVER 68.5 Rushing Yards AND Any Time Touchdown
The main weakness of the Packers’ defense has been their rushing defense.
Green Bay is 28th in the NFL in stopping the run, allowing 134.7 rushing yards per game.
Back in Week 4, when the Lions defeated the Packers 34-20, the game script hurt Goff, but wildly benefitted Detroit running back David Montgomery.
Montgomery finished that game with a season-highs of 32 carries for 121 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Three!

I don’t foresee Montgomery getting 32 carries again this week, but he should receive a large enough workload to usurp his 68.5 rushing yards prop.
Green Bay has allowed eight rushing touchdowns to running backs this season, and Montgomery has eight himself, including one in each of the last two games.
I like Montgomery’s chances of finding paydirt again.
Pick: Montgomery – OVER 68.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
Pick: Montgomery – Any Time Touchdown (-150)
Amon-Ra St. Brown – OVER 82.5 Receiving Yards
Amon-Ra St. Brown continues to be one of the most consistent producers at the wide receiver position.
Even in the previous matchup against Green Bay, when Jared Goff recorded a season-low 210 passing yards, St. Brown still tallied a respectable 56 yards and a touchdown on five catches.
BestOdds EDGE also likes St. Brown to go over his receiving yards prop this week, projecting him for over 90 yards.
St. Brown is averaging 99.8 receiving yards per game this season, and he has recorded 100 or more receiving yards in six of his nine games.
Keenan Allen hauled in 10 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown against Green Bay last week, I think St. Brown will closely replicate that performance.
Pick: St. Brown – OVER 82.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
Jordan Love – OVER 233.5 Passing Yards AND OVER 1.5 TD Passes
Jordan Love is playing decent football right now, and that must be exciting for Packers fans.
In his last two games, Love is averaging 305.5 passing yards per game and he has picked up two touchdown passes in each contest.

I’m assuming that at some point in this contest, Green Bay will be playing with a deficit. That negative game script will apply pressure on Love to keep flinging the football to keep the Pack alive.
In the last meeting between these two teams in Week 4, Love threw for 246 yards but only one touchdown.
This is the same Lions’ defense that allowed Bryce Young of the Panthers to throw for three touchdowns, so I like Love to chuck two touchdowns on Thanksgiving.
With Love possibly playing the best stretch of his career, I’ll stay aboard the Love Train until it veers off the tracks.
Pick: Love – OVER 233.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Pick: Love – OVER 1.5 TD Passes (+106)
