There are many different ways you can bet, but my favorite bet type is the parlay.

Parlays are a great way to turn a small state into a lofty sum of winnings due to their high-risk, high-reward variance.

Rather than placing a high stake wager on a longshot underdog to hit, you can place a parlay at a quarter of the stake for close to the same winnings, if not more.

One of my favorite mobile sportsbooks to place a parlay wager with is Tipico.

Tipico Sportsbook offers numerous ways to build a parlay bet, which I will go over in detail in this guide.

Whether you want to place a player prop parlay, a multi-sports parlay, or a moneyline parlay, you can do that and so much more at Tipico.

How To Bet Same Game Parlay On Tipico App

Playing a parlay bet at Tipico Sportsbook is easy. It is just like placing any other type of bet, with a little more detail.

Below, I will list the steps to place a parlay wager at Tipico Sportsbook:

  • Visit Tipico Sportsbook to activate the bonus offer.
  • Then, choose the sport.
  • Select the games you want to build your parlay from.
  • You must choose at least two.
  • Your selections will now appear in your bet slip.
  • Open your bet slip and enter the amount that you want to stake.
  • Review your bet slip and make sure that you have chosen the parlay option.
  • Now hit the “submit Bet” button.
  • You’re off to cash a winning parlay ticket.

Parlay Builder

A parlay builder is a tool that expedites the parlay building process.

You can build a parlay bet from just about any betting market at a given sportsbook. There are thousands of options to choose from.

Negating from sports to sport and game to game could be exhausting.

Parlay builders help simplify things for the user by organizing all of your betting options into individual distinct categories all in one place.

So rather than navigating through all of the options yourself, all you would have to do is hit the parlay builder tab to begin the process.

Once you are in a parlay building tool, you will see categories that will include prop bets, game props, team props, and many more, which will make it easier for you to seamlessly build your parlay.

While many mobile sportsbooks offer a parlay-building tool, Tipico does not at the moment, but that shouldn’t stop you from placing parlay bets there.

Their competitive odds will make up for it.

What Is A Parlay Bet?

A parlay bet is a wager that combines at least two bet selections into a single ticket.

Parlays are also called accumulator bets or multi-bets in other regions outside the United States.

Each bet selection in your parlay is called a leg. For example, a two-leg parlay will have two bets whereas a five-leg parlay will include five bets.

To cash a parlay ticket, all of the legs must win. If even one loses, the entire ticket will be graded as a loss.

There are ways around this, however. If you still want to get paid on a parlay bet if one of your legs loses, then I suggest building a Round Robin parlay.

With Round Robins, one or more of your legs can lose and you can still receive some sort of a payout depending on the odds and how many legs you chose.

Same Game Parlay

A same-game parlay (SGP) is a parlay built from correlated wagers in a single contest. You can place SGP in all major pro sports including NHL games.

To build a same-game parlay, all you have to do is select 2+ wagers from the same game.

Here is an example of a same-game parlay:

  • Celtics to win (-119
  • Jayson Tatum to score Over 25.5 points (-107)
  • Robert Williams to record a Double-Double (+175)
  • Parlay Odds: +879

To cash this parlay, all of the above legs must win. If one loses, the entire ticket will be graded as a loss.

But if all of those legs are successful, you will win $97.91 on a $10 wager.

Player Parlay

A player parlay is a parlay bet that is built from player props in its entirety.

At some sportsbooks, you can choose player props from the same game or you can mix and match from other games and markets.

Below, I will give you an example of a player prop parlay:

  • Carmelo Anthony to record Over 9.5 points (-130)
  • Cade Cunningham to score Under 22.5 points (+111)
  • Mo Salah to score a goal (-120)
  • Jimmy Butler to score 30+ points (+145)

Parlay Odds: +1577

If all of those legs hit by those players achieve their statistical feats, you will win $137.68 on a $10 bet.

Moneyline Parlay

A moneyline parlay is a parlay wager built from all straight moneyline bet selections.

Moneyline parlays are some of the most common parlay builds you will find.

Here is an example of a moneyline parlay at Tipico Sportsbook:

  • Dallas Cowboys (-220)
  • Houston Texans (+240)

Parlay Odds: +395

If both of those teams win outright, your parlay will bring you $49.46 in winnings on a $10 stake.

Visit our guide to learn more about the betting moneyline at Tipico Sportsbook.

Points Spread Parlay

A point spread parlay is a parlay bet built from all against the spread wagers. This is another commonly built parlay you will find everywhere.

To cash your ticket, all of the teams must cover their respective spreads.

Here is an example of a points spread parlay:

  • Orlando Magic +3 (+205)
  • New York Rangers -1 (-110)
  • Real Betis +1.5 (-105)

Parlay Odds: +1037

If all of those teams cover their respective spreads, you will win $113.96 on a $10 wager.

Over/Under Parlay

An over/under parlay is a parlay built from all wagers pertaining to the total points scored in a game.

For your over/under parlay to cash, all of the games must go over or under their point total, depending on the side you chose.

Below, I will give you an example of an over/under parlay at Tipico Sportsbook:

  • New Jersey Devils @ New York Islanders Over 8.5 goals (+340)
  • Los Angeles Clippers @ Dallas Mavericks Under 210.5 points (-107)
  • Tennessee Titans @ Miami Dolphins Over 48.5 points (-112)

Parlay Odds: +1511

If all of the legs in this parlay are successful, you will win $161.13 on a $10 bet.

Parlay Betting Strategy

If you want to be a successful and profitable sports bettor, especially with parlays, then you must have a winning strategy and know the betting rules.

You can blindly put together a 4-leg parlay and just expect it to hit without doing any research or having any sort of a plan and expect it to win.

To help you hit more parlays, I will give you some of my top strategies to give you an edge over the sportsbook.

Hedge Your Parlay

If you place a 4-leg parlay and the first two bets have already won, then it will be in your best interest to hedge the final leg.

This way you will guarantee yourself a profit no matter the outcome.

For example, if you are slated to hit for $500 and the final leg of the parlay relies on the Cowboys to defeat the Vikings, then you can place a $250 bet on the Vikings to win the game.

Bang, you are profiting no matter who wins.

Limit Your Legs

Just because you can build a 10-leg longshot parlay, doesn’t mean you should be doing so.

Now, I am not telling you not to build them because they can be awfully lucrative if they hit, but the overall odds are against you.

Be smart and build a reasonable 3-5 leg parlay with odds that are below +500. It won’t be a lock, but your odds of winning the parlay are much greater than building an 8-legger with +500 odds.

Shop For Parlay Boosts

Most sportsbooks offer parlay boosts.

A parlay boost is a special offered by the sportsbook to entice the bettor to place a parlay wager. Some books will give you a parlay boost of up to 50% depending on the market and the promo.

If you want to place a parlay and have multiple sportsbooks to choose from, it would be wise to shop the books to see if they are offering any boosts.

Obviously, you will want to place your wager with the sportsbook that is offering the best boost.

This is a terrific way to enhance the odds of an already lucrative parlay.

Why don’t you include prop bets in your next same game parlay at Tipico?
