We all know what a moneyline, against the spread, and over/under bets are.
However, If you are new to sports betting, you might not know what a parlay bet is.
A parlay bet is one of the most popular wagers you can make. And almost every notable mobile sportsbook offers them.
While a parlay wager might appear complex, it is actually fairly simple when broken down.
A parlay bet is a single wager that is constructed by multiple bets all into one. All bets, which are also referred to as legs, must win to cash your parlay ticket.
Amongst the top sportsbooks that offer parlays, Barstool Sportsbook is one of the best.
Barstool offers a variety of parlay types, which I will break down in this article.
Whether you are looking for same-game parlays, multi-sports parlays, player prop parlays, or anything in between, Barstool just about has it all.
How To Bet Same Game Parlay Barstool App
Just as you would at any other sportsbook, placing a parlay wager at Barstool is as easy as it gets.
Below, I will go over the steps needed to place a parlay bet at Barstool Sportsbook.
- You first need to sign up at Barstool
- Go to the drop-down menu and choose the sports market you want to bet on.
- After choosing at least two markets, your selections will appear on your bet slip.
- Make sure that you selected the parlay wager option and not straight bets.
- Decide how much you want to wager and input the amount in your bet slip.
- Confirm that everything on your bet slip is correct.
- Hit the “Place Bet” button.
Parlay Builder
A parlay builder is a tool used by select sportsbooks that will streamline the parlay building procedure.
However, not every sportsbook has the parlay builder feature Barstool included.
Normally, a parlay builder will categorize all of the parlay options to make selections easier to find instead of having to go sport to sport and game to game.
What’s more, not every game will be featured even if your favorite sportsbook has a parlay builder.
While Barstool does not have a parlay builder, they do offer a unique Quick Pick 6 parlay feature. Barstool’s Quick Pick 6 feature is similar to a quick pick lottery, only with more customization.
When you select the Quick Pick 6 option, you will be able to select the sports and leagues that you want to be included.
You can also select a time from which is a three-day span as well as a range of odds.
Upon hitting the “Show Picks” button, Barstool will randomly select six different bets to be included in your quick parlay.
You can lock the ones you want and then reshuffle the deck.
You can also just take what they give you and hope for the best.
What Is A Parlay Bet?
A parlay bet is a single wager made up of multiple bets. These are also called multi-bets by some operators.
Every single bet inserted in your parlay is referred to as a leg.
If you construct a parlay with three different bets, it will be called a 3-leg parlay. Depending on the sportsbook, the number of parlay legs can go up to 10 or more.
The more legs, the more you win. Each leg’s individual odds will also affect the amount you can win as well.
To win a parlay, every leg must hit. If even one loses, you will lose the entire parlay. So bet responsibly.
At some sportsbooks, you have the option to compose a Round Robin parlay. In round-robins, you can lose a leg and still get a payout.
Round Robins are terrific for parlays in which each leg has huge odds.
For example, a first basket scorer parlay would be better if you round-robin it since it is so hard to hit.
Barstool Sportsbook Same Game Parlay
A same-game parlay (SGP) is a parlay where each leg comes from the same game.
While not all mobile sportsbooks feature SGPs, Barstool does.
Remember, not all games can be same-game parlayed. If a game does not qualify, Barstool will not allow you to place the bet.
Here is an example of an NFL same-game parlay at Barstool:
- Cincinnati Bengals moneyline (+163)
- Los Angeles Rams vs Cincinnati Bengals Over 48.5 (-110)
Parlay Odds: +350
If both legs hit, a $10 wager will win $35.
Remember, you can not bet both sides of a wager in an SGP. In the above example, you would not be able to conclude the Under of 48.5.
Player Parlay
A player parlay is a parlay wager made up of all player props.
With a player prop parlay, the outcome of the actual game does not matter.
The only thing that matters is the player’s performance within the statistical category selected.
Plater prop parlays can be built from players from the same game as well as separate markets, depending on the sportsbook.
Below is an example of a player prop parlay at Barstool:
- Chris Paul Over 14.5 points (-129)
- Trae Young Over 9.5 assists (-127)
- Jalen Brunson to score the first basket (+650)
Parlay Odds: +2290
If you wager $10, you can win $228.97 if all three legs hit.
Before you place your parlay bets, we advise you to familiarize yourself with betting rules at Barstool.
Moneyline Parlay
A moneyline parlay is a parlay wager composed of all straight moneyline bets. In order to cash, all teams must win their respective matchups outright.
With moneyline parlays at Barstool, you can mix and match games from all different sports and leagues.
Here is an example of a moneyline parlay at Barstool Sportsbook:
- Houston Rockets to beat the New Orleans Pelicans (+350)
- Dallas Mavericks to beat the Detroit Pistons (-770)
- Los Angeles Lakers to beat the Milwaulkee Bucks (+138)
- Orlando magic to beat the Portland Trailblazers (-106)
Parlay Odds: +2260
As long as the Mavericks, Magic, Lakers, and Pelicans win their games, your parlay will cash.
In this parlay, a $10 stake will get you back a $225.99 return.

Points Spread Parlay
A point spread parlay is a parlay bet compiled from all against the spread wagers.
In order for you to win, all teams wagered must cover their respective point spreads.
If even one leg loses, you will lose your entire parlay.
Here is an example of a point spread parlay at Barstool Mobile Sportsbook:
- Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 (+104)
- Washington Capitals -1.5 (+100)
- Pittsburgh penguins +1.5 (-230)
Parlay Odds: +488
If you wager $10, you will win $48.75 if all legs hit.
Over/Under Parlay
An over/under parlay is a parlay wager made up of all bets pertaining to the total points scored in a game.
In order for your ticket to cash, all bets must go over or under the point total depending on which side you selected.
Below is an example of an over/under parlay at Barstool:
- New Jersey Devils vs Montreal Canadiens Over 5.5 goals (-108)
- Minnesota Wild vs Arizona Coyotes Under 6.5 goals (-114)
- Brooklyn Nets vs Boston Celtics Over 217.5 points (-110)
Parlay Odds: +593
If you bet $10, you will win $59.30 if all legs of the parlay hit.
Parlay Betting Strategy
Like anything else, if you want to be successful, you must have a plan, and a strategy, and put in the work. Sports betting is no different.
This is especially true when wagering on parlays. While it is hard enough to hit one bet, imagine having to hit multiple bets in one.
Having a fine-tuned strategy will help you become a more successful parlay bettor in the long run.
Below, I will list some of my best parlay betting strategies to help you cash more tickets:
Don’t Go Crazy
With parlays, you can do a lot. You might think all of your +300 legs will hit, but in reality, that would be a long shot.
How about an 8-leg parlay where all the legs are -200? Those are just as difficult
While it is okay to shoot for the moon every once in a while, your best bet is to remain conservative when building your parlays.
Stay within 2-4 legs and keep the odds within reason and you will find yourself cashing more times than not.
Hedging
Not all sports bettors believe in hedging. However, hedging is a terrific way to guarantee yourself a profit on a parlay.
If you build a 4-leg parlay and the first three legs have already hit, then it would be wise to hedge the final leg to guarantee yourself a return.
If you can catch a live hedge, you can really make some money if the odds are right without having to risk a ton at stake.
Corresponding Legs
To raise the odds in your parlay hitting, place correlating legs. What does this mean?
If you like the Cowboys-Eagles game to go over 52 points, there is a good chance that Dak Prescott will have to throw a lot on a weak Eagles’ secondary.
Therefore, one of your legs to pair with the Over would be Prescott to go over 275.5 passing yards.
If Prescott is going to pass for 275, then there is a great chance that CeeDee Lamb is going to have a big game and go Over his 75.5 receiving yards total.
All of the aforementioned legs correspond with each other, making your parlay more attainable.
Why don’t you include prop bets in your next same game parlay at Barstool?
