If you are already familiar with sports betting and parlay building, then you should already know how to place a parlay bet at SugarHouse.

However, if you are new or need a refresher, I will list the steps below:

• Join the SugarHouse Sportsbook.
• Take advantage of SugarHouse’s outstanding new-user sign-up bonus.
• Choose the sports and markets that you want to build your parlay.
• You must choose at least two different bets to build your parlay from.
• Once you make your bet selections, you will find them on your bet slip.
• Before placing the wager, make sure that you have chosen the parlay option.
• Now, hit the “place bet” button, and away we go.

Parlay Builder

A Parlay Builder is a feature offered at most sportsbooks.

Parlay builders simplify the parlay building process by categorizing all of your options in one place. Most of the time, a given sportsbook’s parlay builder has its own tab.

However, SugarHouse Sportsbook does not feature a parlay builder despite the fact that they do offer parlays.

What Is A Parlay Bet?

A Parlay Bet is a type of sports bet that combines at least two or more picks into one wager.

Sometimes, you will see a parlay bet referred to as a Multi-Bet or an Accumulator wager.

In order for a parlay bet to win, all wagers involved must win. If you place a 3-leg parlay, all three legs must hit for you to cash.

While the risk becomes greater with the more legs you add to your parlay, the reward increases as well.

If you want to lessen the risk but still want all the benefits of a parlay wager, you can elect to Round Robin your selections.

With Round-Robin bets, you can lose one of your legs and still receive a payout.

Same Game Parlay

A Same-Game Parlay (SGP) is a parlay wager built with all bet selections from the same game.

While you can place a same-game parlay at SugarHouse, not all games have this feature.

SugarHouse will highlight the games with the SGP feature and will not allow you to place the wager if the chosen game does not qualify.

Here is an example of an NFL SGP at SugarHouse:

• Rams moneyline (-190)
• Los Angeles Rams vs Cincinnati Bengals – Under 48.5 Points (-110)
• Cooper Kupp to score a touchdown (-200)

Parlay Odds: +430

If all of the legs of this parlay wins, you will win $43 on a $10 wager.

Please note that you can not use opposing bets in your parlay from the same game.

For example, you can not take the Rams to win and the Bengals to win in the same parlay.

Same Game Parlay Rules

#1 Rule: If you place a 4-leg same game parlay at SugarHouse and all legs win except for one, you lose your parlay.

However, if three of the legs win and one pushes, that leg will void and the odds will be recalculated for your payout.

#2 Rule: If you place a same-game parlay at SugarHouse and one of the legs voids before the start of the game, the entire SGP will void out and your stake will be refunded.

For example, if a player is deemed inactive before the game, your SGP will void at SugarHouse.

Player Parlay

A Player Parlay is a parlay bet built with all player props wagers.

Rather than focusing on the outcome of the game or the total points scored, a player’s prop parlay is determined by a given player’s performance from a chosen statistical category.

With a player parlay, you can choose players from the same game, same sport and even go outside the box and mix in players from differing markets.

Here is an example of a player parlay at SugarHouse:

• Anthony Cole Over 18.5 Points (-113)
• Lamelo Ball Over 6.5 Rebounds (-134)
• Evan Mobley under 3.5 Assists (-175)

Parlay Odds: +441

If you place this same game parlay and all of the legs hit, you will win $44.05 on a $10 wager.

Moneyline Parlay

A Moneyline Parlay is a parlay built with all straight-up bets.

All of the teams that you have included in your parlay must win their respective matchups in order for you to cash your parlay.

Remember that you can not choose two teams playing each other and put them in your parlay. It would not make sense as you are guaranteed to lose.

With a moneyline parlay, you can mix and match different sports and different leagues.

Below is an example of a moneyline parlay at SugarHouse Sportsbook:

• Los Angeles Kings (-137)
• Chicago Blackhawks (+138)
• Chicago State Men’s Basketball (+900)

Parlay Odds: +4107

If you place a $10 wager on this parlay, you would win$401.74 if all of the legs hit.

Points Spread Parlay

A Points Spread Parlay is a parlay made up of all Against the Spread (ATS) wagers. In order to win, all of your selections must cover their respective spreads.

If one team fails to cover their spread, you will lose your parlay unless you round-robin’d them.

Here is an example of a Points Spread Parlay:

• Maine +6 (-109)
• New Hampshire -3.5 (-112)
• Drake -4.5 (-112)
• Notre Dame +4.5 (-113)

Parlay Odds: 1238

If you place a $10 wager, you will win $123.77 if all of the legs of your parlay hit.

Over/Under Parlay

An Over/Under Parlay is a parlay that is made up of the total points that are expected to be soaked in a game rather than the overall outcome or the points spread.

With an over/under parlay, you don’t have to choose all overs or all unders, you can mix them up.

Just like anything else, you can’t build your parlay with the over and under from the same game. You would be guaranteed to lose that way anyhow.

Here is an example of an Over/Under parlay at SugarHouse Sportsbook:]

• Brooklyn Nets @ Sacramento Kings Under 232 (-109)

If you place a $10 wager on this parlay, you will win$59.31 if all of the legs hit.

Parlay Betting Strategy

If you want to become a successful parlay sports bettor, you must have a strategy.

Parlays are much more difficult to hit than straight wagers since there are so many moving parts.

Therefore, you must put in the time and research, as well as familiarize yourself with SugarHouse betting rules, to ensure yourself the best odds of winning.

Don’t Overdo It

While you can build out a parlay with 10+ legs and enormous +9845 odds, it isn’t always the best choice. Your odds of winning are very slim.

Be sure to build out your parlays with a reasonable amount of legs (2-4) and realistic odds (+550).

Sure, you can do your lottery ticket parlays every now and then, but don’t go crazy and risk too much. You don’t want to throw money away.

Keep it simple and get the best bang for your buck.

Hedge, Hedge, and Hedge Some More

Every sports bettor has their own opinion on hedging their bets.

However, with parlays, it is always the best decision.

If you build a 4-leg parlay and three of those legs win, it would be wise to hedge the fourth leg to guarantee yourself a profit.

For example, if the final leg of your parlay involves Aaron Rodgers throwing Over 1.5 touchdowns, it would be wise to take his Under 1.5 before the game to guarantee yourself a profit no matter the outcome.

If the final leg of your parlay involves a moneyline, you can wait to hedge with a live bet to see how the game plays out before making your decision to hedge.

You can also grab terrific live odds that way too.

Correlate the Legs of Your Parlay

If you want to make a parlay easier to hit, then be sure to choose corresponding legs.

For example, if you are placing a same-game parlay in the Cowboys-Eagles game and Dallas is favored to win by eight points (-8) then there is a good chance there will be ample points scored in the game.

Therefore, you would also want to take the Over in that game as well.

If there are going to be ample points scored, then you’d assume that Ezekiel Elliott is going to be heavily involved in the game plan.

So the third leg of your parlay would want to include Elliott to score at least one touchdown.

The Cowboys to cover the spread, the overall points total, and Elliott’s touchdown all correlate with each other which makes your parlay a better chance of hitting in the end.
